You will be apprised of various penalties for employer misconduct and unreasonable delays in providing benefits.

This module discusses special considerations for older dates of injury, including vocational rehabilitation and the previous system for rating permanent disability. The module also explains the impact of current case law on the current two-year cap on temporary disability indemnity, rating of permanent disability utilizing the current rating system, and apportionment of permanent disability.
Legal Module 3: Current Issues in California Workers’ Compensation Law, Part Two
In this module, you will learn about defenses available to California Workers’ Compensation claims and how to build a case to support these defenses. You also will learn how to identify claimant fraud, what to do about suspected claimant fraud, and how to determine the impact of claimant fraud on a claim.
